Based on data on the number of Covid-19 exposures in Indonesia that were confirmed positive as many as 6,512,913 cases, patients recovered as many as 6,319,990 cases, and died 158,768 people (Ministry of Health RI, 2022). Therapi rprogressive muscle elaxation is an exercise in muscle activity, tense muscles then lower tension by performing relaxation techniques to get a feeling of relaxation. Purpose: the purpose of this progressive muscle relaxation therapi, which is to lower tension so that it is more relaxed. This study is to measure the effectiveness of progressive muscle reflexes against decreasing anxiety levels in Second degree students who are currently practicing clinically and have confirmed Covid-19. The population used was Second degree students who were confirmed with Covid-19 at STIKes Ahmad Dahlan Cirebon, the sample or respondents in this study were second degree students who were confirmed with Covid-19 who were self-isolating after being confirmed with Covid-19 . Methods: In this study, quantitative research methods, using purposive sampling with quasi-experimental study pretest-posttest one group design research design. This study took from 22 students who practiced clinics and confirmed Covid-19 students who were exposed to Covid-19. At the value of the level of anxiety after being administered a progressive muscle relaxation therapi is 2.17 with a standard deviation of 0.381. The results of the statistical test obtained a p value of 0.000, then p < α where H 0 was rejected, meaning that there was a significant influence on the level of student anxiety before and after progressive relaxation. It is hoped that this research can be used as one of the implementations of nonpharmacology therapi to patients who have been confirmed with Covid-19 to reduce anxiety levels through the administration of his progressive muscle relaxation therapi.

Keywords: Progressive muscle relaxation; Anxiety levels; Covid-19

2024-07-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Vocational Health Sciencehttps://jovas.polindra.ac.id/index.php/jovas/article/view/38Penerapan Budaya Keselamatan Pasien oleh Perawat di Rumah Sakit2024-06-27T03:23:59+00:00wiwin nur aeni aenisari.artaulii@yahoo.com
Patient safety culture is an important element of health service quality indicators. The service that patients feel will be comfortable and safe, avoiding incidents. The aim of the research is to find out an overview of the implementation of patient safety culture implemented by nurses in hospitals. This research was descriptive quantitative research. The research population was nurses who worked in the Cengkir 1, 2 and 3 inpatient rooms of Indramayu Regional Hospital. The sample consisted of 44 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire sheet that has been tested for validity and reliability, with 28 statements used a Likert scale of answer options often, always, rarely, never. Data analysis was univariate. The research results showed that 25 respondents (56.8%) nurses had implemented a good patient safety culture while 19 respondents (43.2%) nurses had implemented a poor patient safety culture. Nurses have implemented open communication, feedback, patient handover and transfer, response to errors, perception of patient safety, teamwork between units, and good frequency of incident reporting. The conclusion is that the implementation of patient safety culture is still not good. It is recommended that hospitals carry out socialization and development of patient safety culture as well as regular monitoring.

2024-06-27T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Vocational Health Sciencehttps://jovas.polindra.ac.id/index.php/jovas/article/view/24The Effect of Ginger Compress On Reducing The Pain Scale of Gout Sufferers (Literatur Review)2023-04-13T06:05:16+00:00Yani Trihandayaniyantrhy21@gmail.com
Background: The incidence of gout in the world has reached 335 million people. Five journals that adhered to the predefined inclusion criteria were identified throughout the search procedure. Literature analysis findings revealed that the majority of the located journals were published in 2022, employing case study research designs. The exclusive use of Purposive Sampling was the chosen sampling method, with an observation sheet serving as the instrument. Data analysis was executed through the Wilcoxon test. Results: The comprehensive review of all journals concluded that foot gymnastics significantly contributes to lowering blood sugar levels in individuals with diabetes mellitus. This outcome aligns with Smeltzer & Bare's (2002) theory, asserting that foot exercises can effectively decrease blood sugar levels. The average reduction in blood sugar levels following foot gymnastics ranged from 29.12 to 160 mg/dL. Conclusion: Consequently, foot gymnastics can be integrated as an intervention for reducing blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients.

Keywords: Foot Gymnastic; Diabetes Mellitus
2024-07-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Vocational Health Science
